2018 Reflection.

9APA . Kaitohutohu.

1. What was the first day like? How did I feel?
On the first day I was very distant with everyone, I did'nt really like meeting new people because they might not like me or I might not like them, but on a serious note I felt very claustrophobic and very uncomfortable.

2. Who spoke to you first? did you make friends on the first day?
Well..the first person who spoke to me was the teachers, I know that sound sad but whatever, and I "did" make friends but I knew them while in primary school so kinda? but anyways I did make friends.

3. What did you enjoy in PHS?
What I enjoy about this school is that there's a lot of peaceful, calm places where I can just draw and or read manga.

4. What could be done better?
If there were more trees? maybe? I don't know.

5. What advice would you give to yr 8s?
Don't be stubborn like me and don't talk to other people, just enjoy life how it is and be nice.

What I learnt about heart attacks.

Friday 28th September 2018

WALT: Heat attack

What is a heart attack?
A sudden occurrence of coronary thrombosis , typically resulting in the death of part of a heart muscle and sometimes fatal.

What causes heart attacks?
A heart attack occurs when one or more of your coronary arteries become blocked. Over time a coronary artery can narrow from the buildup of various substances, including cholesterol atherosclerosis.

What are the symptoms of a heart attack?
Chest discomfort. Its the most common sign of heart danger.
Nausea, heart burn, stomach pain and pain that spreads through your arms.

What prevents a heart attack?
In just one year you can reduce your risk of a heart attack. Keep tabs on your blood pressure, if its too high your risk of a heart attack and heart disease goes up.

Treatment for heart attacks at home?
Chew and swallow an aspirin, unless you are allergic to aspirin or have been told by your doctor never to take aspirin. But seek emergency help first, such as calling 911.

What is osmosis??

  1. Osmosis is the spontaneous net movement of solvent molecules through a selectively permeable membrane into a region of higher solute concentration, in the direction that tends to equalize the solute concentrations on the two sides.

  2. Image result for osmosis
In my opinion its a process by w
hich molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one.
  3. The process of gradual or unconscious assimilation of ideas, knowledge.

My reflection on microscopes.

Friday 11th May 2018

I have learnt what is a purpose for microscopes its a whole new dimension in science. By using microscopes scientists were able to discover the existence of microorganisms, study the structure of cells, and see the smallest parts of plants, animals, and fungi.

I have learnt how a microscope functions it The eyepiece lens (the one closest to your eye) magnifies the image from the objective lens, rather like a magnifying glass. On some microscopes, you can move the eyepiece up and down by turning a wheel. This gives you fine control or "fine tuning" of the focus. You look down on a magnified image of the object.

Thank you for reading bye~

Hoi~
My name is Samarah

My first day in papakurahigh was very scary but once i made wonderful friends I grew more out of my shell and loved papakurahigh, I have enjoyed myself here and I'm now making memories....

I reckon that even you can make wonderful friends here too, all you gotta do is just get outta that shell of yours....

I'm very happy about my decision of this school, I have wonderful teachers, great people and awesome places to sit and eat or read.

My goals for this year is to try and draw realistically
and make more great friends, also people are wondering why I draw so much... Well I kinda got it from my dad and he draws like a master and so I want to be like him one day...

but I honestly think that it is kinda hard to reach my goals, but I do get through it ... I've always been thinking about being friends with everyone even if we've been on bad terms..
                                                                                       That's me ~>
Thank you for reading~
Have a nice day~
